Agenda:


The Scallop Advisory Panel will meet to discuss:

• Discuss Framework 36: Receive an update and provide input on a range of potential access area and DAS allocations for the 2023 and 2024 fishing years. Framework 36 will set specifications including ABC/ACLs, days-at-sea, access area allocations, total allowable landings for the Northern Gulf of Maine (NGOM) management area, targets for General Category incidental catch, General Category access area trips, and set-asides for the observer and research programs for fishing year 2023 and default specifications for fishing year 2024.

• Develop recommendations for possible 2023 scallop work priorities.

• Consider recommending a control date that could be used to limit the movement of LAGC permits into the NGOM fishery.

• Discuss other business, as necessary.

These will be hybrid meetings. These are in-person meetings, conducted with a webinar option. The Council continues to follow all public safety measures related to COVID-19 and intends to do so for this meeting.

Individuals are encouraged to submit written comments ahead of time, but, at the discretion of the Committee Chair, public comments also will be allowed during certain portions of the webinar. Please refer to the “Remote Participation Guide” for instructions on how to take part in the webinar meeting. Note that you must register for the webinar if you plan to provide oral comments.
